Tune into the Sustainable Energy for All Forum, May 18-19

Sustainable energy isn’t just about providing power. It’s about powering opportunities for the 1.2 billion people around the world who are still living without even basic access to electricity.

For them, sustainable energy can make all the difference: Children can study in the evening, doctors can treat patients and perform live-saving surgery through the night, women and girls can walk safely home after dark, and small businesses can operate in the evenings so families can earn the income needed to meet their basic needs. Sustainable energy – and the lack of it – impacts almost every one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Powering Opportunities: The Second Annual SE4All Forum

Last year, people came to the UN from around the world for the first-ever Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) Forum in New York City. The second annual Forum will build on the momentum of last year’s conference, with a focus on how we can finance the changes needed to make sustainable energy for all a reality.

Join us May 18 and 19 as we examine four key issues of sustainable energy – energy access, energy for women and children’s health, energy efficiency, and renewable energy solutions – through Google Hangouts with some of the Forum’s most influential participants.
