Thank UN Peacekeepers

Join us in thanking the more than 113,000 brave men and women from 116 countries who serve as United Nations peacekeepers in 15 missions around the world.

UN peacekeepers risk their lives every day to rebuild societies wracked by violence and natural disasters, restore confidence in people who have known little but war, and adapt to new challenges in some of the most difficult places in the world.

Add your name – and a note if you'd like – to the thank you card below, and we'll deliver it to UN peacekeepers worldwide.

It’s amazing having people like you in our world. I would like to tell you how much I appreciate you risking your lives everyday to help save others. It’s hard to say thank you when I am sitting here at home while you are thousands of miles away from yours. It’s hard to say thank you when I see the conflict on the news and you see them everyday. But I’m going to do it anyways. Thank you for making this world a slightly better world than it was when you were not here. Thank you for everything.

    Dear peacekeepers,

I would like to say thank you for all your service you do for the whole mankind.Unfortunately, words of “Thank you” it`s just the smallest thing I can do for you. Not everyone can understand how it is to be in a peacekeeper`s body, considering what you have to go through every day.

    Best wishes,

What to say to a group of people who sacrifice their life daily to preserve peace, security and the better good of others? What to say to people who leave their homes to defend the vunlerable? I honestly am SPEECHLESS

I am a 16 year old Lebanese. In 2006, though I was only 6, yet I was able to see how the UNIFIL had a leading role in soothing down the Israeli-Lebanese war .

Black, White, Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese,Arab, African, American, Muslim, Christian, Jew….I present to you two simple words hoping to repay a kernal of your most appreciated effort:

While the UN delegates constantly fail to act as UNITED-one handed nations, the peacekeepers are an epitome for unity, sacrifice and international amity…

May God Bless You, Protect You, and Return You safe and sound to your home countries and families….

    With Great love and Appreciation

Having been a recipient of the tremendous works done by the peacekeepers in my country of origin Liberia, I like to extend thanks and appreciation to all UN peacekeepers worldwide. I sometimes know , due to the obstinateness and avaricious nature of the people for whom you risk your life to secure, may lead you thinking that your job isn’t worth it.

Well, permit me to say this on behave of all the voiceless that we are more than delectable for everything. Thus, a determination to quit now would mean a free pass for those despotic individuals.

    God bless you all.

Ubuntu. One day, the African chief told the children of the tribe to go out and search the fruits he had just hidden for them to eat. The children were perfectly capable of going out and taking all the fruit for themselves instead of sharing. Instead, the stood in a line – holding hands – and ran through the tall grass to find the fruits. After the found the sweet treats they sat down to savor the fruits together. The chief was confused by this so he asked the children why they did not go out on their own. The children replied “Ubuntu. How can one of us be happy when the rest are sad.”

Thank you for sharing your skills to the world and connecting us under peace.
